We started Hudson Home Repairs because we kept hearing the same thing from friends and neighbors in Manhattan: the small jobs never get done. Contractors do not want a two-hour visit, building supers are stretched thin, and the flat-pack dresser sits in its box for a month. We thought there was room for someone who would just show up, do the job carefully and leave the place clean.
That is still how we work. You text us what needs doing, we ask a few questions, and we agree a time. We arrive with a full tool bag and the common hardware, so we are not running out to the store mid-job. We put down a drop cloth, keep noise and mess to a minimum and remember that we are in your home, not on a construction site. When a job is outside what we do, we tell you rather than guess. When we finish, we walk you through what was done, sweep up and take the packaging with us. We would rather build a list of repeat customers across Manhattan than rush through a single visit.
